Ice Cream Social--Yum!

Scenes from the Carnival--a last-minute addition to the Festival that gave the kids (and adults) a unique Snake Valley experience!

Saturday morning started with a delicious hot breakfast.

Meanwhile, the yard sale and booths were getting ready for business.

Then it was time to start the Festival parade. What a fantastic parade!

The kids could do games and activities on the Baker Hall lawn:

The silent auction had a huge array of wares.

This was the first year to try out the Road Art Contest. About 30 pieces of art are displayed along the roadside. This year the winners were some old favorites, a three-way tie for first: the Whoa sign, Horse without a Mane (the horse driving the old car), and Too Tall Tony. We had some new additions that are fantastic and we hope for even more next year!

At 3 pm, in the middle of the afternoon heat, it was time for the massive water fight.

Folks headed out to the Border Inn for a delicious BBQ dinner.

Following dinner it was time for the live auction.

For those with some energy left, the Carnival beckoned.

The next morning, it was time for the Snake Valley Slither 5k/10k trail run and bake sale.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE THE 2012 SNAKE VALLEY FESTIVAL A SUCCESS!
WE HOPE TO SEE YOU IN 2013!
